Cedar Elm

Cedar Elms are a dual purpose tree that provides plentiful shade and can tolerate both drought and wet soil conditions. A full matured Cedar Elm can reach up to 70' tall and grows at a medium-paced rate between 13"-24" a year. Full sun is ideal for these trees which means that they need about 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Cedar Elms bloom during late Summer and early Fall and produce clusters of pale green blossoms. Not only are these trees great for shade, but they are a very beautiful ornamental tree as well.
